FOUNDATION is much better then high school and there is better engagement as students are taught how to be independent.

This was the comment of first Year University of the South Pacific Foundation graduate Douglas Yee.

The 18-year-old was also the proud recipient of two special awards, being the most outstanding student in Accounting and Economics.

Mr Yee said he wasn’t expecting the award but was glad he had made his parents proud.

He said university life taught him about time management and how to prioritise his studies.

He said he would pursue further studies in New Zealand’s Auckland University of Technology.
