Timely boost for BMS reps

MEMBERS of the Ballantine Memorial School athletics team were presented with their sporting gear this week as they prepare for the 2021 Coca-Cola Games next week.
School principal Tokasa Wilson was delighted to receive the assistance from students who attended the school in the 1980s.The name of their group is BMS Walusaiva.
“We are delighted for this timely support because it’s a shot in the arm for our athletes,” said Wilson.
She said the school’s strength during the games would be in the field events.
BMS Walusaiva local president Mei Niumataiwalu said her group of overseas and local-based former students of the 1980s raised over $2000 to buy the uniforms for the school’s athletes.
The school is expected to field about 24 athletes in the games.
