OPPOSITION Leader and Social Democratic Liberal Party candidate Ro Teimumu Kepa has urged supporters to rally behind the party leader Sitiveni Rabuka and show their full support.

Speaking at a campaign rally at the Nausori Village yesterday, Ro Teimumu said Mr Rabuka was a man of humility and someone who would never responed with negative words if criticised.

Over the past years, Ro Teimumu claimed that Mr Rabuka rose above abuse and responded to it gracefully.

“The party leader was a man of honour and acted like a true officer when the Prime Minister tried to run him down. Let’s stand with Rabuka.

“Let’s remain together, take our power to the ballot and choose SODELPA government,” she said.

Speaking at the rally, Mr Rabuka reminded his supporters that the party had exhausted all its resources to reach out to people as part of their campaign for the 2018 General Election.

“We have done all we could and all that was possible for us to do. We are limited with all our resources, but I believe that we have campaigned well.

“I believe we have fought well, we are now looking forward to what God has in store for us,” he said. Party candidate and Cakaudrove chief, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu reminded chiefs across the country to change their ways and work towards a better Fiji.

“It has been a different journey. It was not an easy one, we differ in the way we think, principles and what we believe, but we should think of our future generation.

“The party started with nothing in 2014, but through the support of people we are able to contest the 51 seats in this year’s general election, the party relies on you and your votes count, know who you are voting for,” he said.
