TWO years since he started playing rugby has taught Vuiviwa Naduvalo a lot of lessons and one important ones is that teamwork is the core ingredient to a winning environment.
Even though the Semo, Nadroga flyer will not be part of the Malomalo 7s this weekend, he has given his support to the organisers, who are embarking on a community cause.
The former Nadroga Arya College student said the 7s tournament was organised to build community amenities such as village halls and footpaths.
“For us people in the Coral Coast with the tourism industry down, organising 7s tournament such as this will help rebuild their lives after COVID-19 and the past tropical cyclones – TC Yasa and TC Ana,” he said.
“I thank all the teams who will be participating this weekend for lending a helping hand to this important cause,” the former soccer player said.
Naduvalo will be a name to remember in the future with his footwork, kicking abilities and speed.
He is playing rugby for the Fire Wardens 7s team and has been part of its campaign for the past two years.
His side will not be part of this weekend’s Malomalo 7s as they put their sight on the Fiji Rugby Union Super 7s Series to claim a spot for next season.
