‘Protest no the solution’

SOCIAL Democratic Liberal party provisional candidate Pio Tabaiwalu reminded his supporters that resorting to protest was not the solution to solve their problems.
Mr Tabaiwalu made the comment while campaigning at the Saioni Hall in Kalabu Housing, Nasinu on Tuesday night.
“Protesting is not the answer. If you do this then you might get in trouble again. We need your votes because we can help you if we go into government,” Mr Tabaiwalu said.
Democratically, he said Parliament was the only place where changes could be made.
Mr Tabaiwalu said the party was founded on honesty and true principles of fighting for the ordinary people.
He told those gathered at the hall that SODELPA would revive iTaukei land rights and cultural beliefs if they won the coming general election.
“I also contested the general election in 2014 and I’ve decided to stand again this year for the sake of ordinary people. This is the only thing that made me come back into politics,” Mr Tabaiwalu said.
He said their candidates were made up of educated people with wealth of experience in the public and private sector.
“We have prepared ourselves for this general election, all of us are well off and the only reason we have decided to fight this general election is for the ordinary people.”
