Fiji Police Force Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Surend Sami confirmed to The Fiji Times that he has received a complaint against Attorney-General Siromi Turaga.
“We acknowledge the report and after preliminary assessment of the complaint, a decision will be made,” he said.
The complainant was Sailosi Sirisirivalu, a man claiming to be the FijiFirst youth wing president.
In a social media post on Thursday, Mr Sirisirivalu said the complaint against Mr Turaga was in relation to comments he made against former A-G Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during a media conference on January 23.
“I feel his comments towards our former A-G is inciting and invoking, so I’ve prepared and also lodged a complaint and tomorrow I will be putting up a statement in the CID (Criminal Investigations Department) Totogo and also hopefully, I’ll be holding a press conference on behalf of the FijiFirst youth and FijiFirst family against the current Attorney-General of Fiji Siromi Turaga,” Mr Sirisirivalu said.
