Movement restrictions that were imposed yesterday at the height of Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold have been eased.

However, the COVID-19 national curfew is still in place and businesses are advised to continue to adhere to the required health practices and maintain social and or physical distancing practices.

Director NDMO Vasiti Soko said the COVID-19 restrictions still stood and there were only selected businesses that would operate as normal, and the national curfew remained effective from from 8pm to 5am.

“These businesses are to ensure that staff are regularly washing their hands with soap and water or using hand sanitisers. Businesses affected by TC Harold are to ensure that necessary proactive measures are in place, that is, disinfecting the workplace before the resumption of work,” Ms Soko said.
