A 26-YEAR-OLD man charged with a count each of impersonation and falsifying of documents has been remanded in custody by the Nasinu Magistrates Court.
It is alleged that Sumeet Sahil Chand with intent to defraud a person, falsely represented himself as the new post master of Ono-i-Lau.
It is also alleged that he dishonestly falsified the application to receive $10,000 at the Valelevu Post office with intent to use it.
Police prosecutor Constable Setareki Mocevakaca served full phase disclosures and objected to bail on the grounds that the amount of money involved was substantial.
Magistrate Sufia Hamza has ordered Mr Chand to make a formal bail application and has adjourned the matter to October 18.
