THE Makoi Women’s Vocational Centre in Nasinu held an open day for its women participants today.

Centre director Shahista Shazna Khan said this was their third event for the year with 45 women being part of the one organised today.

“The importance of this open day is to showcase whatever the participants have learned and prepared during their eight weeks of training,” Ms Khan said.

She said the centre offered three courses – sewing, cooking and pastry, and hydroponics.

The centre will host its graduation ceremony next Thursday.
