SWIRE Shipping Fijian Latui coach Senirusi Seruvakula expects Kagifa Samoa to come out firing when they face them in their Global Rapid Rugby Pacific Showcase match today in Auckland, New Zealand.
With one win and one loss Seruvakula said the team looked forward to gaining another win.
“It will be a crucial match,” Seruvakula said.
“Samoa will be hungry for a win and no doubt it will be a tough game,” he said.
Seruvakula said the team had prepared well with a focus on their discipline.
The champion Fiji Warriors coach said the players had adapted well to the new format and to say that some players were still learning the game was no longer a viable excuse.
“It’s our third game now and we have to just concentrate on doing everything right,” he said.
“We have done a lot of work on the errors from our last game against the Western Force, and we have looked at it and the boys understand our mistakes and we have polished it.”
New changes include second rower Sikeli Nabou and Japan-based winger Patrick Osbourne to run on for the Latui.
