THE 2018 Courts Inter District Championship has been rated by the Fiji Football Association as a successful five days tournament despite changes made due to heavy rain at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said they had received feedback from fans, stakeholders and the teams regarding the competition.

“The IDC tournament was a success despite the heavy down pour we faced for two days that made us change the time and venues of the semi-finals,” Yusuf said.

“In those five days of competition, about more than 20,000 spectators gathered to cheer for their teams and we’ve received positive feedbacks from them regarding the legends program and the most exciting match of the tournament and probably the season was the semi-finals.

Yusuf acknowledged all the teams for participating and supporters for coming in numbers to support their teams.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools Inter District Championship will be held next week at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
