LAUTOKA will leave no stones unturned against Jack’s Nadi in its bid to retain the Courts Inter District Championship title this year.

The Sugar City boys finished second in their pool behind Labasa and will be out to stun neighbours Nadi in the semi-final this afternoon.

Bolstered by the services of big names such as Samuela Nabenia, Samuela Drudru, Benjamin Totori, Dave Radregai, Kavaia Rawaqa, Kolinio Sivoki, Zibraz Sahib, Jone Vesikula and Beniamino Mateinaqara, the boys will play the game of their lives to achieve their goal.

The side lost to Labasa in pool game but bounced back superbly to thrash Nasinu 8-0 in its last pool game to earn a semi-final spot.

Team president Abdul Kadar said the side would be up against an unpredictable Nadi outfit and players had been urged to treat the game as the final. He said the team was injury free and all geared up for the much anticipated clash.

“This will be a do or die game for the team and the boys are ready for the battle,” said Kadar.

“All our players are fit and we know it is not going to be an easy game.”

He said the jetsetters would be a tough nut to crack and would be also gunning for a spot in the final.

“We respect Nadi being one of the best teams in the country and it is going to be a tough battle for our boys,” he said.

“Nadi emerged as the pool winners so we cannot afford to take them lightly.”

Nadi will be spearheaded by goalkeeper Vereti Dickson and supported by Rusiate Matarerega, William Valentine and Ilimotama Jese.

The much anticipated game is scheduled at the ANZ Stadium, 4.30pm followed by the second semi-final between host Suva and Labasa.
