THE Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Wives and Mothers Club members have been urged to look after themselves and stay healthy to be able to look after their families.

This was the theme of the club’s netball tournament and a message shared by the club president Makereta Naliva.

“Our theme this year is ‘Women’s health is family wealth,” Naliva said.

“We have been encouraging all women to look after themselves, eat healthy and keep fit to be able to look after their family.

“We are promoting that in this tournament and we hope the women go back to their various locations at the end of the day, learning a lesson or two.”

Twenty-three netball teams and 13 volleyball teams from RFMF units in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa, are present at the two-day event which ends today.

“The aim of this wives and mothers club tournament is for the women to mingle with each other and meet the new wives and mothers.”

The tournament will end with an awards ceremony this evening.
